We love useful stuff. For months, we have been bookmarking interesting, useful and creative WordPress plugins and and related resources. As we are currently wrestling with a big client project, the versatility of WordPress continues to amaze us.

Below, we present five most promising plugins. We tried to focus on rather unknown tools that are definitely worth a look. Some plugins are new and some are old, but hopefully everybody will find a couple of new useful or at least inspiring tools. Don’t forget to check out the plugin author homepages too for further information.

AJAXed WordPress

AJAXed WordPress is a plugin that harnesses the power of AJAX and WordPress to improve the user experience, the administration capabilities and the design potential of any WordPress based blog.

Exec-PHP

The Exec-PHP plugin executes PHP code in your posts, pages and text widgets.

In The Loop

In The Loop provides an way to automatically attach any HTML, CSS or JavaScript before or after the post content.

The Pods plugin is like Custom Fields on steroids. Pods lets you create content types for powerful blog post categorization.

Visual Recent Posts

This plugin gives the look of a magazine-style website with thumbnails and excerpts in a clean layout. Thumbnails are generated automatically, and there is a settings page to set an unholy amount of options.
