World AIDS day 2008 campaign

The 1st of December, World AIDS Day, is the day when individuals and organisations from around the world come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day.

AIDS is the most globalised epidemic in human history. But AIDS is far more than a health crisis. For many years HIV/AIDS was viewed as simply a medical and health problem. In reality the virus is also profoundly influenced by other social, economic and political factors.

Finnish Medical Students’ International Committee asked us to support the campaign. Together, we decided to create a website to provide information for secondary school pupils about AIDS and its socio-economic impact in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Rapid application development for University of Turku

The Department of Physics at the University of Turku looked to us in an urgent need of an tailored solution to manage their courses and student registration process.

The challenge was that the time frame for the project was extremely tight. We really had to push some limits but we managed to plan, implement and deliver a basic course management application in just few days.
